TxDOT to close eastbound Lakewood Drive at Loop 360 for utility work

(THE LATEST: After several delays, this is scheduled to start July 19 with the arrival of equipment and work to commence through the weekend from 7 am to 7 pm. The work is scheduled through at least Aug. 2.)

Eastbound Lakewood Drive at Loop 360 will be closed daily for utility work from Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 19 while work is underway on the Lakewood Drive/Spicewood Springs Road project.

Lane closures are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends, weather permitting.

Traffic will use Wallace Drive to reach southbound Loop 360. Detour signs have been placed to alert drivers.

Everyone is encouraged to exercise great caution while driving and walking down Wallace Drive during this time. Wallace is narrower than Lakewood Drive and is popular with people pushing baby strollers or walking dogs.

TxDOT says utility service interruptions are not anticipated, but to contact AT&T Customer Service at 800-288-2020 if you have questions.
