Remaining tree damage from the February ice storm in Lakewood should be removed starting soon, after homeowners voted overwhelmingly to approve a one-time assessment to pay for the cleanup.
Lakewood homeowners voted 145 to 18 for the HOA to assess a $175 charge to each homeowner-household for the project. The vote was tallied at the Lakewood HOA annual meeting on June 3.
The project is estimated to cost $75,000. The assessment will be mailed to homeowners starting in about a week.
HOA board members Michelle Polasek and Lee Rutledge also were reelected to new terms on the board.
Thanks to all who participated and voted, and congratulations to Michelle and Lee!
