Homeowners to elect board members, hear project updates at May 12 annual meeting

The annual meeting of the Lakewood Homeowners Association is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, May 12 at the Lakewood Clubhouse. The election of two board members and an update on community projects are on the agenda.

Two board positions currently held by Lee Rutledge and Michelle Polasek are open this year, and three candidates are running. Lee Rutledge is seeking re-election, and Dustin Drawhorn and Shasi Wilson are seeking a position.

Michelle Polasek is nearing the end of her term. Rachel Upshaw recently resigned from the board due to her new work schedule, and John Harris was named to complete the year left on her term.

Learn more about the three candidates for the positions and please read the mailer that’s arriving at your home soon. It includes a directed proxy (absentee ballot) for the board election. It has been difficult to achieve a quorum to conduct business at the annual meeting, so please submit your proxy/ballot even if you plan to attend.
