The Lakewood pool will close Monday, June 24, and Tuesday, June 25, so that a cleaning crew can pressure wash algae and apply a chemical that should control its growth for the summer. Lakewood’s pool company says that although black algae is not dangerous in pools, it can cause other bacteria to grow if not treated. This was done a few years ago, and it needs it again. The HOA thanks everyone for their patience.
